"What is the best sport?" has no answer, and "what is the best sport at each age?" sounds like the fix. A child should play this, a teenager that, a fifty-year-old something else, a grandparent something gentler.

A child can learn that a movement is beyond their ability without learning that falling would be disastrous. They can also learn a boundary in one way of moving and lose track of it when they move differently.
